Great Video Interview With Gary Vaynerchuk

The Wine TV Guy, Gary Vaynerchuk’s first book, Crush It!, just hit the streets and it’s already #2 on the New York Times Bestseller List. crush it

Gary has over 1M Followers on Twitter and many consider him a Top 10 Internet Celebrity. He’s been on Conan O’Brien, CNN, Fox News, and several other shows and networks.

What does that have to do with The Bloggers’ Bulletin?

Plenty, prior to starting his book tour Gary sat down with me — a Bloggers’ Bulletin Contributor and Believer — for a short video interview.

Blogging and social media are a big part of Gary’s promotional efforts. Gary talks a lot about social media in the interview.

I hope you enjoy and be sure to let me know what you think. I’m going to share our comments with Gary.

Brilliant interview. I love that “Be Yourself” line from Gary. The Tumblr idea is a great one to look like as well. “No one wins by accident” is a great quote and so true. You really need to work hard and put the time in.
The thing with Gary that sucks me in is the passion, the knowledge and the caring for the audience. From this, I get the sense that if you can sit down with him, you get the same guy you see on the videos. That’s powerful if you can pull it off. For some of us, that is a major struggle. Can you ask him how he practiced his delivery or what he does to be so comfortable (or more comfortable)?

    Again, Great Job

Like Jarie said, Steve! And I think Gary Vaynerchuk’s book —

      Crush It

    — should make it to number 1 on the NYT bestseller list no problem. I’m going to be buying a copy over the weekend; hopefully I can buy it as a download — haven’t checked yet. Chris

Great interview on both sides of the camera. You provided terrific questions and Gary offered thoughtful answers.

You’ve got to hand it to Gary; for the success he’s achieved through both street and business smarts. He’s an engaging guy and you did a nice job of capturing his personality, which is, of course, a big reason behind his appeal. As Gary says “The game is the content you deliver” — this one’s a winner.

    Jarie, thanks for the comment.

We started the interview late because he was on the phone with CNN. They had him on TV Sunday and I interviewed him Thursday, so thanked him for letting me “scoop CNN.”

Enough foolishness. We talked about being genuine. He doesn’t practice, strategize, or act, it’s just him. He’s extremely outgoing and comfortable in his own skin. He admits his style isn’t for everyone.

If you go to and click “Buy Now” I think it takes you to Amazon and a special deal.

    All the best,

Thank you for the kind words, Deni.

I got the sense that no matter if the camera is on or off, Gary is in high-gear and he may not delegate much.
