Over the past few months, I’ve been working very hard to build my blog readership and the number of subscribers. Along with building relationships with other bloggers, sharing posts I love, asking people to be guest bloggers, and being a guest blogger for others, I’ve also started running blog contests.

The other day I went to a Christmas party in my old hometown, Tulsa , Oklahoma. It’s been over 20 years since I lived there. But through the magic of Facebook, I’ve recently reconnected with high school and college friends living in Tulsa. Many old friends were at the Christmas party.
As I’m standing by the hors d’oeuvres, Scott, a friend I played basketball with in junior high, stops and asks about my blog. He tells me how he really enjoyed one of my interviews. The only way Scott would know about my blog is through Facebook.
